This review consists of Sucker Punch Production's InFamous Second Son, published by Sony Computer Entertainment,it serves as a third installment into the InFamous series giving fans a direct sequel to InFamous 2. Providing a Brand new story picking up 7 years after previous events from a young adults point of view. This game delivers a rich enviorment, choice based gameplay and the classic infamous honor like system. While being rated T for Teen InFamous Second Son is nothing less than a masterpiece playable at nearly all ages.
The game starts by following the main character Delsin Rowe, A native american 24 year old street artist who soon becomes a conduit in a world against conduits.InFamous Second Son starts with a sandbox stlye similar to the classics, introducing mechanics like walkimg, jumping and climbing.After the simple gameplay mechanics are out of the way it heads toward some of the newer unseen mechanics only achievable on the Playstation 4's dualshock 4 controller such as shaking your controller to graffiti and audio through the controllers speaker.The story implements all of these things perfectly in my opinion, as an open world, sandbox type game its a perfect stepping stone into something that could be much more bigger.
The story follows Delsin trying to escape his consequences going from childs play to something more. Once he gets caught by his brother he's forced to accept his punishment which somehow leads to them witnessing a crash carrying conduits that are being transferred to a nearby facility. The crash results in the prisoners escaping leading to delsins brother to be the cop he is and try to apprehend them. Without knowing that the prisoner in front of him is a conduit Delsin gets too close and becomes a hostage leading to a duel between the conduit and Reggie "Delsins brother". During the gunfight the conduit uses his powers against Reggie and Delsin manages to touch his hand leading to Delsin retaining the said powers giving him a window into the life of the conduit allowing him to see not only what he goes through but what he has went through and whats to come for Delsin as a conduit.
